Summary of "EP 1402: तीन साल की ग़ज़ब प्लानिंग, 8 अरब के हीरे की चोरी की कहानी | CRIME TAK"

The video narrates the story of one of the biggest diamond thefts, involving a meticulously planned heist worth 8 billion rupees. The mastermind, Leonardo, originally from Italy, had a history of petty theft from childhood that escalated over time to targeting high-value items like gold, silver, and diamonds. He traveled across Italy scouting diamond shops, staying close to them to observe and plan his moves.

Leonardo eventually learned about the major diamond business hub in Belgium, known as the Diamond Center, which housed precious stones in a highly secure underground vault. This vault was protected by multiple layers of security including advanced CCTV cameras sensitive to body temperature, an 8-hour drill-resistant steel gate, a secondary door with a weekly changing numerical lock, sensors, alarms, and strict rules forbidding cameras or phones inside.

To execute the heist, Leonardo infiltrated the Diamond Center by posing as a diamond trader and renting an office. Over three years, he gathered intelligence by befriending shopkeepers, security guards, and other insiders, using covert methods such as a pen with a hidden camera to capture sensitive information including lock codes. He assembled a team of four accomplices with specialized skills, including an electrician and a safe expert, who helped him prepare detailed replicas and practice disabling security systems.

The heist took place on the night of February 15, 2003, a Saturday when some Jewish guards were occupied with religious duties. The team entered through a window to avoid detection, used hair spray to mask body heat from sensors, and silently bypassed multiple security layers including cameras and alarms. They successfully opened the vault and stole the diamonds. After escaping, the group burned their evidence but made some mistakes which eventually led to their capture by the police in Rajasthan. Leonardo, however, never revealed his accomplices’ identities.

Interestingly, Leonardo claimed he did not steal all the diamonds himself; some thefts were allegedly orchestrated by diamond businessmen inside the center to fraudulently claim insurance money. Leonardo served his sentence and has since been released.

The video concludes with birthday wishes for several viewers and thanks to those who requested the story.
