Summary

The video explains how to provide Hudl/Wyscout with the information and footage needed to set up and analyze matches through Wyscout On Demand.

1. Send the schedule and roster

After agreeing to use the service, look for an email from your Hudl account executive or customer success manager. Email them a Word or Excel schedule listing each match’s date, with the home team first and the away team second.

Include your team roster using the provided spreadsheet. It should contain:

  • Team name
  • Home and away kit colors for shirts, shorts, and socks
  • Each player’s shirt number, first and last name, position, and date of birth
  • Optional details such as height and weight

Hudl forwards this information to its database team. Setting up the information on Wyscout can take up to a week.

2. Install and use the Wyscout uploader

Follow the support link in the Hudl email to view the instructions and download the uploader for Mac or Windows. Install and open the application, then sign in with your email address and password.

To submit a match:

  1. Select Create a new job.
  2. Choose Platform match, then search for and select your team.
  3. Choose the match from the schedule shown in the uploader.
  4. Select Broadcast if you’re submitting a single match video.
  5. Select Public if you want the tagged match to be available to others on the platform.
  6. Choose Load files, select the video file or files, and proceed.
  7. If prompted, choose the best available video option, then click Start job.

3. Complete and submit the match sheet

While the video uploads, provide additional match information using the linked Tag on Demand form and sheet. Include:

  • Shirt numbers and details for players who took part
  • Substitutions, including who came on or off and for whom
  • The match result, goalscorers, and players who received cards
  • Opponent player information where possible; if exact dates of birth are unavailable, estimate the birth year

The form also asks for your email, whether the team information is complete, the match category (such as men’s or women’s), the competition’s country and region, the competition name as listed on Wyscout, both teams’ full names, and the match date. Attach the completed file and submit it through the form.

4. Follow up on missing information

If the Wyscout footage and tagging team finds missing footage or an incomplete team sheet, it will alert the Hudl account executive or customer success manager. That Hudl contact will then ask the customer for the information needed.
