Summary

Aisha arrives in Mumbai determined to build a life on her own. Her first day is difficult: she gets lost, attends an office interview without a résumé, and is turned down for lacking experience. Her childhood friend Rohan is surprised she came without telling him, but helps her find an affordable room. Aisha insists on managing things herself and takes a demanding restaurant job when she cannot find office work.

She works hard, sends money home, and studies computer skills after her shifts. With her first salary, she buys a laptop and asks Rohan to teach her how to use it. He invites her to dinner, but she initially turns him down.

Through persistence and preparation, Aisha eventually earns an office position. Her new coworkers doubt her, and a report error is blamed on her. She checks the original data, proves the mistake was not hers, and gradually wins their respect.

As Aisha grows more confident, she and Rohan become closer. During a date, he confesses that he has liked her since they were young and now loves the person she has become. Aisha admits that she loves him too.

The story ends with Aisha and Rohan returning to her village, where her family celebrates her success and their relationship. Rohan presents her with a ring and says he hopes to marry her. The film closes on their wedding and the idea that finding yourself can begin with the brave decision to leave home.
