Summary

Vision tracks down his son, Tommy Shepherd, at St. Mibbins Psychiatric Facility and tries to bring him home—but the rescue becomes a trap. The Paladin corners them inside an electromagnetic-pulse cage and uses adamantium bullets to badly damage Vision, draining his power core.

Ultron explains that saving Vision will require a massive transfer of processing power, meaning one of the AI programs must give itself up. Jarvis volunteers, sacrificing his existence to give Vision a chance to survive.
