Memberships and Channel Plans

GeoWizard clarifies that the members-only posts appearing regularly are mostly older Patreon videos, not new adventures being withheld from the main channel. His main-channel output hasn’t changed and remains his priority.

Because early access to new videos has been difficult to make visible to members, he’s considering phasing out the lower “Explorer” tier and keeping only the “Adventurer” tier.

A sprained ankle—sustained during a game of dads’ football, not on an adventure—will keep him away from major expeditions for at least a month. He expects to fill the gap with a few GeoDetective videos. Longer term, he’s aiming for roughly one major adventure per month. Possible projects include a winter straight-line mission and a long-delayed “perfect circle” challenge.

He also hints that comedy writing, a travel book, and especially a new album may eventually take up more of his time, even if adventures temporarily take a back seat.

Lifestyle Changes

GeoWizard says he hasn’t drunk since a stag weekend in Benidorm, where he lasted only a few hours before giving in to the group’s relentless drinking. He says moderation hasn’t worked for him, so any future drinking would need to be a genuine one-off.

His attempt to give up his smartphone lasted less long. After bringing it to the birth of his second daughter and using it during paternity leave, he slipped back into full-blown phone use. He plans to try again next month, this time with a Nokia and an MP3 player.

Releases and What’s Next

The video wraps with plugs for posters and music releases, including a new edition of his album and an upcoming 16-bit adventure soundtrack release on vinyl, cassette, and CD.

He thanks viewers for their messages but explains that he can’t reply to most of them or provide private video messages.
