• Successfully caught crappie and a large bass, which was kept in a cooler.

Firewood and Heating Routine

• Burning seasoned firewood cut over a year ago, which burns quickly.

Although commonly advised against, green wood helps maintain the fire through the night.

• Cutting and stacking wood from a recently cut oak tree on the property.

• Using a small cabin on the property as a cooking and processing area for deer and other outdoor activities.
• Recently helped set up a new gas heater at home.

Holiday and Home Activities

• Decorating for Christmas by putting up lights on the house and trees.
• Planning to add white lights on a bush for the first time.
• Removing leftover Halloween pumpkins and replacing them with Christmas decorations.
• Garland and other Christmas décor are placed around the door.
• Family involvement includes helping with decorations and kids playing with Legos (building a dinosaur mech).
• Cooking a stew on a live fire planned for the evening.
