Episode Summary

Ruchita’s birthday brings a mix of warmth and family friction. Nihal gives her a new phone after her old one breaks. Her brother Rohan, who has been waiting to celebrate with her and brought her favorite pastry, finally reaches her by video call. The family joins in to wish her, while Janvi teases Ruchita for making a fuss over Nihal’s gift without acknowledging the present and bouquet from her brother.

The new phone soon becomes a source of comedy. Gungun plays with it, and Nihal notices that a photo of himself is set as the wallpaper. He assumes Ruchita took it secretly; she blames Gungun, leading to a prickly exchange about whether Nihal is being made to look like a “cute joker.” Ruchita is also sent to handle household chores, including an invasion of mosquitoes.

Meanwhile, Anamika is excited about Karwa Chauth and insists she plans to fast for Ruhaan, despite not being married yet. Ruhaan’s grandmother objects, and Anamika snaps back that this is her future husband’s home and she will do as she pleases. Ruhaan tries to avoid taking sides. Anamika’s shopping messages keep flooding his phone because she uses his number, and she presses a shopkeeper for the phone number of someone who bought a red velvet pastry, hinting that she is investigating something.

The episode ends on a sharper note: while trying to swat mosquitoes, Ruchita accidentally damages something Nihal considers special. He angrily tells her not to touch it and sends her away.
