Overview

Phineas and Buford use a “reality machine” to create an isolated, no-time-passing white-room scenario to settle a hypothetical “Would you rather” challenge.

Setup

The horrible “Would you rather”

1. Option one: Continuously slap the table until Phineas’s hand completely phases through it via quantum tunneling—meaning none of his hand’s atoms interact with the table’s atoms.

2. Option two: Beat the Geometry Dash level “Orbit” on the iPad, with infinite time to complete it.

Phineas’s choice and struggle

• Phineas first tries the slapping option briefly, but it doesn’t work.
• He then switches to the iPad and successfully battles “Orbit”, demonstrating he can finish the challenge.

Punchline / key reaction

• When Phineas returns, his hand is extremely red.
• The joke is that even though he won with the iPad, he apparently damaged himself enough trying the table too much.
• Buford reacts immediately, noticing Phineas’s hand and realizing he didn’t exactly choose the safe path.
