The makers of Ramayana—starring Ranbir Kapoor and Yash—have postponed the film’s trailer release, which was originally set for 24 July, despite a grand launch at San Diego Comic-Con.

Producer Namit Malhotra confirmed the delay through an official statement.

Reason for the Delay

Malhotra said the project has partnered with Sony Pictures Entertainment for global release. As a result, the trailer launch will now be held on a later date.

He described the collaboration as a milestone for Indian cinema, explaining that it will help Ramayana reach global audiences at the scale of major Hollywood releases. He also highlighted that the partnership could encourage international viewers to discover Indian culture and storytelling.

Malhotra additionally thanked fans and supporters for helping the team reach this milestone.

Reference to Ongoing Protests

The statement also included a subtle reference to ongoing student protests. Malhotra emphasized that youth are the future of India and urged people to protect that future.
