Episode 28 Recap

After Aaradhya’s father rejects her and treats her as if she were dead, she is left numb and unable to speak. Swastika holds her as she breaks down, while Rida watches in tears. Aaradhya eventually manages to tell Swastika what happened, then clings to her for comfort. Rida brings water and stays beside them, but Aaradhya is so shaken that even lifting the glass is difficult.

Swastika stays with Aaradhya until she falls asleep, then returns home and tells her family what has happened. Her parents and grandmother are horrified by Aaradhya’s father’s actions. Swastika is moved by the contrast between Aaradhya’s rejection and the warmth of her own family.

Meanwhile, Aaradhya wakes from a nightmare in the early hours, crying and pleading for her father to stop hurting her. Rida finds her frightened by the window the next morning, and Swastika later learns that Aaradhya is barely eating.

Knowing Aaradhya needs more support, Swastika invites her to stay at her home. Aaradhya quietly accepts. Swastika’s family welcomes her with affection, and her grandmother and mother try to comfort her and encourage her to eat. Though Aaradhya is still withdrawn, she seems most able to accept care from Swastika. On the train, she takes Swastika’s hand; at home, she clutches the edge of Swastika’s sari when Swastika is about to leave.

That night, Aaradhya has another terrifying nightmare. Swastika wakes her, reassures her that she is safe, and stays beside her until she can sleep again. The next day, Swastika makes room for Aaradhya to stay and gently tries to distract her, but books and conversation cannot yet lift her grief.

The episode closes with Aaradhya still struggling to imagine where she belongs, while Swastika offers the steady support she can.
