Episode 89 Recap

After an argument with Ananya, Meera spends the night away from her and their young son, Yuvan. Early the next morning, Meera’s mother calls and asks her to visit because she is unwell and Durga Puja is approaching. Meera decides to go to her parental home and takes Yuvan with her.

Ananya’s mother and father-in-law help arrange the trip but agree not to tell Ananya beforehand. Her father-in-law reassures Meera that a little distance might help the couple appreciate each other, though he is visibly reluctant to part with Yuvan.

Ananya wakes to find Meera and Yuvan gone. At first, she assumes Meera is nearby, but she grows increasingly worried when she cannot reach her. Neha reminds Ananya that she had been scolding Meera and that someone who loves their partner should try to resolve a fight rather than simply wait for the other person to return. Ananya bristles at first, even insisting that Yuvan is “her blood,” but Neha’s blunt advice—and her father’s reminders that Meera is her partner—start to sink in.

When Ananya finally speaks with Meera’s father-in-law, she learns that Meera has gone to her family home. By the end, Ananya admits she misses her wife and child and decides to go there, apologize, and bring them back.

At Meera’s parental home, she is warmly welcomed by her mother and the local women. Some neighbors bring up painful old gossip, but Meera stays composed and defends her life with Ananya and Yuvan. She also hears about a woman whose daughter has returned home after suffering abuse from her husband. Meera says she will see whether she can help the daughter find work. Meanwhile, Meera’s father-in-law keeps in touch by video call, missing Yuvan and offering Meera support.

A lighter romantic subplot follows Neha’s visit to Latika and their baby, Neeti. Neha jokes that she cannot manage being apart from her family, then shares a sweet reunion with Latika—including a playful debate over whether she is entitled to a kiss.

The episode ends just as Ananya sets off to find Meera, leaving the reconciliation for the next installment.
