Recap

After Root dismisses Uchiha Kin’yu as useless and abandons him to die, his mysterious system changes everything. It can instantly max out any jutsu he sees, and his Sharingan evolves into a nine-tomoe powerhouse. Kin’yu leaves Konoha and quickly gathers an unlikely crew of rogue ninja, dangerous misfits—and tailed beasts who increasingly seem more interested in his cooking than world domination.

The Four-Tails and Pakura

Kin’yu’s first major clash is with Roshi and the Four-Tails. He maxes out Kisame’s massive water technique and unleashes an ocean-sized flood, then calls down Kirin to knock the beast out before Sasori seals it away. Rather than simply capture the Four-Tails, Kin’yu and his team repeatedly beat it into submission until it agrees to behave. Their final negotiation tactic is a feast of three-cup chicken. The proud Monkey King insists it only likes bananas, then abandons them the moment the food is ready.

Kin’yu later meets Pakura, the Sand’s celebrated Scorch Release user, just as she is ambushed and poisoned. Betrayed by her own escort, she is being sent toward a false peace deal with the Mist. Kin’yu exposes the plot, defeats the Mist attackers—including Mangetsu—and saves her with his Susanoo. Once Pakura realizes her village sacrificed her, she joins Kin’yu. Their flirtatious bargaining over her escort fee and a kiss becomes a running joke, even as Pakura remains shaken by her village’s betrayal.

The Rain and the Cloud

In the Rain, Kin’yu encounters Akatsuki and the young Zabuza. After Zabuza challenges him, Kin’yu uses Tsukuyomi to make the room experience an apocalyptic showdown that never actually happened. He then summons all seven Swords of the Mist—a feat Mei insists should be impossible—and lets Zabuza choose one for a fight. Zabuza is swiftly beaten, but Kin’yu heals him afterward.

Kin’yu is also drawn into Akatsuki’s troubles. He helps the group survive attacks linked to Hanzo and recruits the young Kimimaro after a seemingly devastating battle with the Kaguya clan. The climactic massacre and crater turn out to be an illusion Kin’yu trapped Kimimaro in. The boy is alive and chooses to follow him.

Kin’yu’s next major stop is the Hidden Cloud. He protects Yugito and refugee children, helps the wounded young Darui, and turns a confrontation with the powerful Horned Clan into a public humiliation. Darui gains the Cloud’s legendary Black Lightning, while Matatabi, the Two-Tails, ultimately agrees to go with Kin’yu rather than be sealed into Yugito. Kin’yu keeps insisting he wants a “low profile,” even as he walks through the village with multiple tailed beasts and leaves the Cloud’s leadership to explain the resulting destruction.

The Waterfall Village and the Tailed Beasts

A mission to rescue seven-year-old Itachi leads Kin’yu to the Waterfall Village, where he uncovers a coup plot involving the village leader, Suien, and the ambitious Akahoshi. Kakashi, Obito, and Rin have independently snuck in to save Itachi, leading to tense teamwork—and some amusingly earnest admiration for Kin’yu from the young Obito.

Kin’yu’s illusion helps awaken Obito’s Mangekyo Sharingan, and Kin’yu copies Obito’s Kamui ability for himself. After defeating the conspirators and taking control of the Seven-Tails, Kin’yu’s growing collection of beasts finally earns their trust. They explain that they follow him because he treats them like friends, just as the Sage of Six Paths once hoped they would find.

Food, Feasts, and Fights

The story balances its spectacle with absurd domestic moments. Tailed beasts bicker over bananas, food, and who gets to be Kin’yu’s favorite; Kakuzu winds up stealing eggs for a village feast; and even the fearsome ninja compete over dinner.

Kin’yu’s increasingly ridiculous cooking displays include using elite techniques for poultry, ginger milk curd, and a giant fish feast that turns a village’s near-disaster into a cooking contest.

The Yuyu Mountains

The episode ends with Kin’yu heading back toward the Rain, where Hanzo, Danzo, Orochimaru, Black Zetsu, and the mysterious Chinoke clan are preparing a trap in the Yuyu Mountains. They want Kin’yu’s eyes and the beasts he has gathered, but he already suspects they are waiting for him. He sees the confrontation as a chance to reclaim his clan’s stolen eyes.
