Overview

A boy discovers something unsettling while exploring a tree. When he stabs it with his knife, white, sticky liquid oozes out—like gum. When a drop hits the ground, it triggers instant plant growth.

Shocked, the boy tries to test the substance by applying it to his own wound. Instead of healing, it causes intense pain.

Worse still, when he accidentally (or impulsively) drinks the sticky liquid, his body begins to rapidly deteriorate. Plants sprout from his wound and then spread across his body. He struggles to stop it, but it’s too late—the plant invasion ultimately kills him.
