  • Rocky/shallow soil: people receive the Word with joy but have no root; persecution or affliction causes them to fall away.
  • Thorny soil: cares of the world, riches, and lusts choke out growth.
  • Good soil: the Word takes root and yields fruit (30x, 60x, 100x).
• Core point: the seed (Scripture) never fails. Failure to produce fruit is due to heart condition, opposition, or lack of depth — not the Word itself.
