The new freeze mechanic in the Ice Log mode is inspired by Bad Company 2’s single-player mission “Snow Blind.”
Players experience an ice vignette around the screen and must find heat sources (fireplaces, houses) to avoid freezing to death.
Freezing causes the soldier’s weapon to visibly shake and eventually leads to coughing.

Players can warm up using incendiary grenades or the incendiary air burst launcher (support class only).
These gadgets create flames to heal and warm players and teammates but must be used carefully to avoid burning.
