Storyline
A mysterious woman named Phoenix is found unconscious after apparently falling from Buastramm to Virium. Although she has no serious injuries, her wounds have vanished. The group suspects she deliberately risked the journey to find Wise.
When Phoenix wakes, she identifies herself as a Krampus judge. With help from her AI assistant, Fairy, she explains that TOPS forces have seized key parts of Buastramm and taken Belle and Cecia captive. Their actions appear connected to High Ambitions Corp’s plans for the Rosetta data and the Sunbringers’ Karma Cores.
The group decides to return to Buastramm through Quietude Isle. To get past the occupation, Phoenix poses as a captured Krampus judge. Lind Vern, Wise, and Phoenix infiltrate the island using a mech recreated through Lind’s Sunbringer abilities. When their cover is discovered, they fight through the facility and board an airship.
Public Security Commissioner Seerian joins the rescue effort. Lind and the others reclaim much of Buastramm, then push through the CCD and into the control tower, where singularity leakages and Ethereals obstruct their route.
Evidence points to Corinus, Rose Caelifer’s long-serving intelligent construct, as a possible traitor. Roxy reports seeing him meet with Truvia, who can manipulate singularity leakages. Corinus later admits to cooperating with High Ambitions, saying the company offered a way to reduce the cost of maintaining the Rosetta data. However, he is badly damaged by Yo-kai, leaving his full motives unclear.
Truvia confronts Wise and reveals their shared history at Helios Academy. She says the academy’s children were involved in research into artificial Enchainers, and that their eyes were intended to let them wield Karma Core power. Feeling discarded and resentful, she wants to take the Sunbringers’ Karma Cores and claim the Helios legacy. Wise and the others fight her. She is defeated but escapes.
Lind and Wise reach the tower’s secret chamber and find Eldrada. She explains that the first Sunbringer never destroyed the Hive Lord Hollow. Instead, she restrained it beneath Rose Caelifer, and the Hollow’s raw Ether information is the true source of the Rosetta data. The first Sunbringer divided her Karma Core among the three present-day Sunbringers, then remained behind as an empty shell to keep the Hollow contained.
Eldrada had learned that the restraints were failing and tried to handle the danger alone, keeping the truth from Lind and Dina. Lind insists that the burden belongs to all the Sunbringers, and they agree to face the crisis together.
In a dreamlike sequence, Wise meets Sleepwalker Boo and witnesses memories of the Sunbringers’ possible lives and choices. The first Sunbringer explains her origins and her connection to Helios Academy and Professor Ar. She asks Wise to make his own choices and help connect people. She also asks him to tell Raml that she does not need to forgive her.
Wise awakens as the Hive Lord Hollow becomes unstable. The tower and Rose Caelifer begin to be swallowed by the Hollow, ending the video on a cliffhanger.
Gameplay Highlights and Strategies
- The walkthrough combines story scenes with combat against TOPS and High Ambitions troops, mechs, and Ethereals.
- Exploring the control tower involves navigating singularity-altered areas, following Fairy’s routes, hacking terminals, and using Eos and a drone to reach or inspect difficult spots.
- The Quietude Isle infiltration becomes a forced fight after the disguise is exposed. The mech is useful in combat, though a stuck cockpit creates a brief complication.
- The team avoids a reckless frontal assault on Quietude Isle because High Ambitions could endanger the hostages. Instead, they use Phoenix’s staged capture as cover and try to reach a supply airship.
- During the tower climb, the characters recommend staying alert around unstable singularity leakages and taking a careful route rather than forcing dangerous doors or rushing through hazards.
- In the Truvia battle, Wise helps create an opening against her control of singularity space, allowing the team to land a successful attack.
