Episode Recap

The episode opens with Vamika struggling to cope with Ekta’s sudden absence. She clutches Ekta’s picture and tries to stay composed for her family—and for the baby she’s expecting. Chhavi comforts her with teasing stories about how their future child might turn into a “crybaby” if Vamika keeps crying. Vamika even promises herself she won’t cry while eating an apple, but the tears arrive anyway.

Meanwhile, Ekta reports to her new posting and encounters a family of poor villagers whose e-rickshaw has been taken by the local inspector. They say they’ve been ignored and mistreated for days, and that the inspector’s actions have left them hungry and in debt. Ekta gets them fed, then confronts the station’s corrupt, swaggering inspector, who is busy chewing paan, enjoying special treatment, and making constables run errands for his family.

The inspector initially mocks Ekta and refuses to take her seriously. The mood changes when she disarms him after he pulls a gun, and a constable reveals that she is the DSP. Ekta orders the station cleaned, demands that the villagers’ vehicle be returned, and makes the inspector write and sign a promise to serve honestly. She also rejects his excuse that a previous DSP made him behave corruptly, pointing out that one person’s greed doesn’t excuse everyone else’s wrongdoing.
