Summary of "어스2 리얼리티 스레드 6 - 요리 시스템 & 의류 크래프팅 & Runes & More"
Overview
Reality Thread 6 introduces Chapter 3 and several major systems to E2v1. Key additions include the first cooking system, a basic clothing/cosmetics foundation, runes and discovery tools, inventory/action-bar and asset sync improvements, new emotes, and expanded badge-holder (access) ranks. Many changes are groundwork for future farming, mini-games, PvP and more.
Cooking (Cooking Pot Set)
The new portable Cooking Pot Set lets players prepare cooked meals that provide stronger regeneration (health, hunger, stamina, thirst) than raw or stale food.
Mechanics and rules
- Pot sets are placed using the global building/placement system (action bar → placement UI with green/red highlights).
- Placement requirements:
- Must be on flat ground.
- Some tiles allow campfires but not pot sets — check placement before lighting a campfire.
- To cook:
- The pot set must be on a tile with an active campfire.
- The player must be on the same tile and press C to cook.
- Pots are persistent world objects: they remain until the owner retrieves them. They can be placed with or without a campfire (if a campfire expires the pots remain).
- Interaction and ownership:
- Any nearby character can interact with and cook using a deployed pot set, enabling group play (one player carries pots, others supply ingredients).
- Only the owner can retrieve pots. If placed on another player’s tile, the landowner may have rights to take them.
- Unattended pots may be takeable in future updates; the full unattended-pot rules are not yet active.
Strategic notes
- Cooked food rewards preparation and gathering — important for longer expeditions and future structured conflicts.
- Always confirm pot placement allowance before lighting a campfire to avoid wasting campfuel.
- Use pot sets to enable shared cooking responsibilities on traveling groups (one carrier, multiple users).
Clothing system
- First clothing implementation allows crafting and equipping individual items: hat, shirt, long pants, shoes.
- Male/female character builds require different garment items (except hat and shoes).
- Crafting material: cotton (currently found only in natural cotton-growing areas; future farming will ease access).
- Equip and visibility:
- Equip via the H key; equipped items immediately change character appearance and persist through teleportation.
- Partial equipping is allowed (e.g., hat only).
- A full set will be required to equip future cosmetic suits/skins.
- Initial garments are neutral (white/black) and are planned to be customizable later via cosmetics.
Discovery & Rune system
- Firetorch:
- Craftable item.
- When placed in the action bar and local time is between 19:00–07:00, left-click performs a Firetorch Search to raise chances of finding certain reagents/items.
- Aqua Rune of Discovery:
- Obtained via torch searches.
- When submerged (press C to dive) and activating the rune, left-click lets you search underwater for items.
- Mental Storage rune:
- Raises mental storage capacity from 100 → 500 (used to craft chips that increase storage further).
- Watering Can rune:
- Required to craft water sprinklers (important for future farming).
- Particle / Weeding rune:
- Used to quickly remove plants from tiles to prepare building placement.
Quality-of-life and systems updates
- Asset data synchronization:
- Local synchronization introduced so clients only sync data around the avatar, drastically reducing login/connection times and avoiding full tile sync delays.
- Inventory and action bar overhaul:
- General usability and core-system improvements (no deep detail provided).
- Emotes:
- Many new emotes added (celebratory 2026 set).
- Emote wheel UI redesigned (larger, clearer).
- All emotes in this release are unlocked and free — will be free or gameplay rewards only (not sold).
- Access / badge holders:
- E2v1 access expanded with a Viscount rank for large tile owners.
- Players owning ≥50,000 tiles should check settings for access to the downloadable client.
Tips & recommended actions (from the video)
- Before placing a campfire, check whether a pot set can be placed on that tile to avoid wasting campfuel.
- Retrieve pot sets after use — they remain in-world and may be taken by others or landowners under future rules.
- Use the pot set to let a traveling group share cooking responsibilities (one carrier, multiple users).
- Equip clothing before teleporting if you want to keep appearance/gear after travel (clothing persists).
- Use torches at night to increase discovery chances; work toward obtaining the Aqua Rune to expand underwater searching.
Future / strategy implications
- Cooking, clothing, runes, and farming foundations will make resource management, preparation, and team play more important in upcoming content (mini-games, PvP, gardening/farming).
- This release is positioned as foundational—expect faster iteration and more layered gameplay throughout 2026.
