Episode Summary

The episode follows two romantic storylines, shaped by longing, awkward closeness, and caretaking.

Iris and Sitara

After Iris gives Sitara chocolate, Sitara sends her a photo of herself eating it. Their playful texts turn into a late-night conversation through their bedroom windows. Neither can sleep, and both admit—more or less—that they miss being together. Sitara insists she misses Iris’s shoulder rather than Iris herself, prompting Iris to tease her. Later, Sitara thinks Iris has fallen asleep and quietly confesses that she misses her very much. Iris is still awake enough to hear and blush.

The biggest turn comes when Iris gets sick after sitting by an open window in the rain. Sitara wakes to find her feverish and unresponsive, panics, and rushes over barefoot. She calls the doctor and stays by Iris’s side, warming her and making sure she takes her medicine. The doctor says Iris has a high fever but should recover with treatment.

Sitara’s mother helps by making kahwa, and the household gently persuades Iris to drink it despite her dramatic refusal and dislike of the taste. As Sitara comforts her under a blanket, Iris clings to her and buries her face in Sitara’s neck, leaving Sitara flustered. The episode ends with the two sharing a tender embrace.

Rose and Ruby

Rose and Ruby share a bed after Rose’s car trouble keeps her at Ruby’s home. Rose almost reaches out to touch Ruby’s face, then stops herself, thinking Ruby is different from the girls she usually dates.

In the morning, Ruby’s mother arrives and is relieved to hear Rose stayed, since Ruby gets frightened during storms. Ruby later moves to the couch after Rose sleepily pulls her close, but Rose finds her shivering and orders her back into bed, teasing her for getting cold.

Rose then gets a call from a woman who says she waited for Rose all night and is leaving on an 11 a.m. flight. Rose apologizes, realizing she forgot, and leaves.
